Some things to consider while studying for the Final Exam
- Can you correctly use all the survival questions?
- Do you remember the classroom vocabulary?
- Are you able to conjugate all the verbs we’ve
studied so far in the present tense?
- Who are all the members of your family, including
the in-laws?
- When do you use “estar” versus “ser”? And, what were all their conjugations?
- What was all that stuff about “this and these
have t’s” etc.?
- Do you remember how to spell all the numbers in
Spanish?
- How
many colors are there in Spanish?
They work like any other adjective in Spanish, right?
- What is the difference between comparative and
superlative adjectives, adverbs and nous?
- Did you check you answers for the 4 & 5 Unit
Practice Quiz (p. 121-124) with those in the back of the book (p. 386)?
- Have you taken advantage of the ACE practice
exams?
- How much of the vocabulary from chapter 6 can you recall?
- Can you correctly identify the Direct Object and
replace it with the best Direct Object Pronoun?
- How many stem changing verbs are there? Can you conjugate each of them
correctly?
- Are
you able to distinguish between direct objects and indirect objects? What pronouns do we use for each of
these objects?
- How
are indirect and direct pronouns different from reflexive pronouns? What are the reflexive pronouns in
Spanish? Have you studied the list
of reflexive verbs that use these pronouns? (Remember, the verb “llamarse” is the model for all
reflexive verbs)
- Can
you conjugate regular preterit verbs?
What were their endings?
- How
many irregular verbs in the preterit have we studied so far? Can you conjugate them?
- Are
there any important spelling changes that occur when conjugating verbs in
the preterit tense?
- Do you
remember how to use backwards verbs like “gustar” and “quedar”?
- Have
you studied all the clothing vocabulary?
- Could
you create a simple dialogue that would take place in a clothing store?
- How
does the expression “hace…que” work?
Can you make a question using this expression?
- Do you
remember all the negative and affirmative words like “algo” and
“nada”? What was that rule about
negative words following the verb?
- Have
you taken advantage of the Ace practice tests on the internet or the
Chapter 6 & 7 review test in the book?
- Are you able to conjugate verbs in
the imperfect tense?
- How
many irregular imperfect tense verbs are there?
- Can
you create a sentence with both the direct and indirect pronouns in it?
- Which
verbs are stem changing in the preterit?
- Have
you been studying all the food vocabulary?
- Which preterit
verbs work with the zigzag system?
