SPA 101-F2002: Study Guide for the Final Exam


REMINDER: The Final Exam will be given at 8:00 AM on Monday Dec. 9th, 2002.

  1. Remember the Final Exam is an accumulative exam that covers Chapters Ante Todo-3.
  2. Have you been studying all of your vocabulary (classroom 34, subjects 36, and general 58-9, colors, personality adjectives (68, 83) )?
  3. Do you remember how to use and spell each of these categories (nación, persona, lugar, casa, concepto, animal, comida, deporte, instrumento)?
  4. Did you remember to study your verbs as vocabulary words and also drill their conjugations? How many –AR, -ER, and -IR verbs should you know? How many stem changing verbs are there (p. 114)?
  5. How well can you solve math problems and spell out numbers (1-thru-2999)?
  6. Can you tell time and distinguish when to use “son las” as opposed to “a las”?
  7. What are all the question words in Spanish?
  8. Do you know the difference between a definite and an indefinite article? Can you create plural definite and indefinite articles?
  9. Are you able to generate a few questions or even a short dialogue sequence?
  10. How many "es + adjective + verb..." expressions can you create?
  11. Are you able to use the demonstrative adjectives?
  12. Can you describe what you and others are wearing? Does you description include the materiales the clothes are made of (eg. "algodón")?
  13. Do you remember all of the "tener" idiomatic expressioins, including the two from the book (p. 127)? How do you express age in Spanish?
  14. Do we conjugate both of the verbs in a compound verb structure? When and how do we use the "ir +a" construction?
